Information about the teaching of the department
In General Psychology I, members of the department teach students on the BSc and MSc Psychology and MSc KliPP programmes, as well as on the BA (minor subject) and BIGS Neuroscience programmes, through lectures, seminars, practical sessions and project work.
The course content in General Psychology I covers the following topics:
- History and methods of general psychology
- Perception
- Attention
- Memory
- Decision-making and judgement
- Thinking and problem-solving
- Motor and oculomotor functions
- Consciousness
- Cognitive control
- Experimental cognitive psychopharmacology
Since the 2024/2025 winter semester, members of the department have also been teaching on the new MSc in Psychology with a specialisation in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy (KliPP) in the following modules:
- Specialised Theory of Psychotherapy Disorders and Procedures
- Advanced Psychological Diagnosis and Assessment
- Research-Oriented Placement
